Was just coming back to respond!
I love NZ so much. Just so cool to be surrounded by so much, and such varied natural beauty everywhere you go.
Had a fairly lackluster surf experience, though. Classic, day late/day early sorta thing. A few fun surfs at the points. Really fun headish high sessions at Indicators and Whale, but good lord never make me surf shoulder to head high manu bay again. Was lucky to come out of that madhouse alive.
We got to the Coromandel area just in time for some pre-storm slop, storm, and post-storm slop haha. The days after we left puuuuumped. I did not do myself any favors watching the cams when I got home. Got one kinda fun day at Whangamata. Chunky, shoulder high day. Fun takeoffs but kinda fizzled fast.
Still, an awesome trip. Hope to be back soon and for longer!
