The Nazis were white Europeans. Most of the people they murdered were other white Europeans who couldn't necessarily be identified by looking at them. Although the Nazis were racists for sure, religious and ethnic bigotry =/= racism.ummm. the basis for their mass murder was racism.
You are thinking of ethnic discrimination, which is synonymous with racism.
The two are always listed together as "racial and ethnic" in describing some action or outcome that is associated with prejudice within a majority or dominant group in society.
There is no difference between those terms.
Ethnic Discrimination is the synonym of Racism.

I don't doubt that maybe Slavs and Balts weren't necessarily easy to pick out from Prussians/Bavarians or what have you by sight, but in the context of the people who brought us the "Master Race" this sounds kind of like a distinction without a difference?
Also that tweet is Schiavo levels of retarded. It was their racism aka Master Race worldview that saw them loading the Slavs and Balts onto the trains. Half those people were amped to be rid of the Soviets at first; it's not like they were completely not amenable to their worldview; they were just Poles or Ukrainians or Lithuanians aka inferior.
It's not like they engaged in factory style mass murder because Hitler bought an Austin Healey and it wouldn't start if the relative humidity was above 50% and then he saw some Russians who thought a toilet was for washing potatoes and he just snapped on tea drinkers and farmers in mud huts because they sucked at engineering.

I don't see how you can decouple the brutality of Generalplan Ost from the racism driving it.
