I shot the pic. Funny story.
That was a great morning. I shot at the north end for about an hour, then went closer to home to surf. It was real big for us. I missed my first drop, got pile-driven, and had my wetsuit pulled down. Total michelin man. Pulled the suit up, and paddled back out easily. Made the next wave, got caught inside, and then realized my zipper was down after being flushed a half dozen times. I was getting downright hypothermic. Then, I pulled the zipper up, and was determined to get another ride.
I dropped into a frontside wave, and it just jacked up, held up, and peeled, for one of the best rides I've ever gotten. I went in soon after that b/c I was too cold (from the previous flushings).
So, I grabbed the vid cam, and shot. That pic is shot shortly before that board snaps in half when the wave breaks. A surreal swell for certain.
