Thank you all for the feed back. If I could rain this topic back in. I'm interested in feed back from those who have any experience between the CC ocean racer and the Mitsven mini simmons.

If you go Mitsven, get quad. I had a 5’9 squaretail that was a blast, but it was a bit oversized (wide n thick) for me. I think he prefers the roundtails, like SBD’s, now and he’s got a version that seems pretty dialed in. Check his instagram for examples. IMO go as short as you wanna paddle, you can also go narrower than you think with the parallel rails.
No experience with the CC OR, but nowadays I don’t think I could comfortably paddle one short enough to get the most of the design.
