As the South swells come marching in Mex. lights up. You can mission to Cabo, but it's crowded these days. You can go to Puerto Vallarta and surf the breaks above the bay (worth the trip if you get a S swell). And finally you can go to Puerto Escondido and get thick barrels and fun beachbreak surf. There are plenty of good waves in warm water down in Mex. Pick up a Surfer Travel Report for any of the seven states in Mex. and read about the possibilities.
We have made trips to Sayulita and Punta Mita - very worth it! Although the weather is pretty hot and muggy - might want to wait until November or so.
