I'm gonna be stopping in bali on my travels in September and won't have a board with me. The last time I was there (about 10 years ago!) i managed to get a decent cheap slightly used board from a rack in a restaurant. Is this still a good way to purchase cheap good quality used boards or are there other better setups?? Cheers for any help.

Last time I was there, people were selling used boards for cheap on the stair case in the middle of Kuta, I haven't been in a few seasons, but many a surfer wants to sell a board for some extra cash. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Guys seem to want to cash in for a last night of partying before they go home. You can bet if a guy dressed in dry clothes carries a board that doesn't need repair into one of the board shops on Poppies Lane 1 he is trying to sell it. The stairs there below the warnet sounds like a good place or maybe in Tubes bar (also on Poppies Lane 1). Of course those board shops are filled with left over boards but they will be twice what they bought them for.

Just becarefull if you buy a used board in a shop. Sometimes the repair jobs are just cosmetic.
