Pretty interesting actually.

The Errb is slacking on Segars Spermacity candles though; surely would have thought we’d get some good comments on that ya slackers :pokestick:

Ever read/hear about the theories about “witches” and pyschadelic mushrooms? It surprisingly makes sense.
No

Can you elaborate?

Did GWash do shrooms?

I bet BFrank did

There’s a theory behind the Salem witch trials that the villagers had collected wild mushrooms and mistakenly collected a pschedelic variety (or potentially food poisoning). which caused them to see the women who were executed doing things that were of the witchcraft variety, obviously caused by the pschadelic shrooms. Without the knowledge of the shrooms they determined witchcraft. There are some compelling arguments that go way beyond a stoners epiphany.

Back in the British navy you used to be known as a 1 bottle, 2 bottle or 3 bottle compatriot.

Helped in planning functions.

When you really look at it.

Slavery was abolished in Brittan before we even became a "Free" country.

USA won its independence but kept the practice of slavery for close to 100 years following after the rest of the civilized world abolished it.

Those guys had granite balls the size of grapefruit. When they signed the Declaration of Independence they basically were signing their death warrants. Caught by the English or the Tories = 100% chance of execution.

I'd buy 'em drinks.

Vermont began banning slavery in 1777; Pennsylvania, 1780; New Hampshire, 1783; Connecticut and Rhode Island, 1784. Massachusetts completely banned it in 1783.

The USA banned it in the Northwest Territories in 1787.
