GDaddy you are smarter than this. This is a gambit to help the (D) chances in the Senate in 2020, not a serious attempt at getting 17 or however many Republicans to vote Trump out with the (D). IMHO Nancy sees people jockeying for 2024 on the GOP side (Rand Paul blabbing about votes) and realizes she'll have useful idiots across the aisle out for themselves, pinning people in swing states between choosing to lose the primary to someone who would lose the general, or casting a vote that might lose them the general.I think the lefties should save this guy for their next impeachment. It's like the late-breaking Christine Blasey-Ford attack - you can only use him once.
Arizona, Colorado, Maine, Iowa, and North Carolina all have GOP Senators defending seats. Kentucky and Kansas just elected Democrat Governors, everyone hates Mitch, and Pompeo's stock is dropping and the other anti-immigrant fanatic already proved he is adept at losing statewide in Kansas vs a moderate. I don't think the (D) will sweep that board (and they'll lose Doug Jones I bet) but their chances aren't half bad.
Even if the GOP keeps the Senate, who will the 50th vote be? What will the GOP incumbents defending seats in Florida, Iowa, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania in 2022 be thinking? Everyone seems to think that having the Senate is just this guaranteed force, like a House majority dozens deep. The Democrats' last votes are Joe Manchin and Doug Jones. The Republicans' last votes are Collins and Murkowski.
