Ethnic studies isn't learning about other ethnicities or cultures or countries or religions or anything like that.
It really should be called Oppression Studies 101.

I might be missing something I graduated from CSUN in 87. We had to take sensitivity type classes back then.
I took comparative religion at Santa Barbara City College in 1990/1991 or so. Teacher was Hindu, can't remember her name.
I was really enlightened by my comparative religion class in college. Opened up a whole new understanding of people's thought process.

Courses that actually teach something about other cultures, countries, religions, and so on would be so beneficial to society.
I asked my old GF, who had a master's in women studies if they studied what it is to be a woman. She said not really.

Seems like the usual tweak to GE requirements. Just because you sign up for the class doesn't mean you actually have to go.
Take it Pass/No Pass, do bare minimum and write the paper(s) so you tell the profs what they want to hear.

Convert to Islam, they do a great job and nobody is more conservative then them.
