you could just buy the trucks or the waterborne surf adapter is solid if you already have a board

Not yet you aren't.

I'm still holding on to the dream I'll be "discovered" as the new underground fenom that slipped through the cracks and is instantly ushered into a lucrative lifestyle of free-surfing travel exploration.

have board. tried board with carver trucks...holy sh!t....board is no longer fun with regular trucks
Indy 169z with bones medium bushing hand tight nut then use sk8 tool 1/4 turn with 10" OG or reissue 80z early 90z fish shape or 8 75" to 10" shaped deck from Blacklabel or etc bezt. Those sk8 surf carver or sector 9 crap is just that crap stick with real sk8 gear you can buy cheap at So Cal sk8 or used off cl.

Why's that?

If you don't like the Carver trucks then that's fine. But, they're completely different than a regular truck and feel nothing like anything else I've tried.
I do both sk8 bowls and surf and find just cruising street like your surfing bezt set up is 8.75"+ deck with 169z nice and lose and 60+mm wheels the rest is full on gimmicks.

Check out the Gullwing Sidewinders. They are a double kingpin truck like the Carver C7s
Not the same, I've had both. Carver trucks transfer side-to-side energy way better than Gullwings. You can skate endlessly with Carver's, feet never touching the ground, only limitation is how long you can keep pumping. Can't say that for Gullwings.

Carver C7 trucks are completely different from a normal truck. Fine if you don't like them. But, don't claim they're a gimmick.
They're sold out. Know where I can get some?
