None of our summer reefs have worked. Add that to terrible abalone conditions and I haven't had reason to get in the water in weeks.

Flat spells ruined surfing.

We've had a week of head high to overhead south. Nothing to quit your job over but after the bleakest winter and spring in the 23 years I've lived here it's better than a kick in the nutz. Even glassed off yesterday afternoon, rare this time off year.

Been a good run of surf in SoCal.

Me and JJR been scoring a certain military installation regularly.

I've surfer more in the last month locally than i had all year.

Over a span of 5 days, I did 3, 0, 5, 3, 4 hr sessions during the run of swell at the same place. Yesterday I skipped and went for a run. Feeling pretty stiff - vitamin I is a life saver.

Some of the best surf I've had locally this year. Jan-Most of March, I was out of the water.

Newport and HB have been fun this summer. Even without this last swell it was surfable pretty consistently in June. Not epic, but chest and sometimes shoulder high almost always. I have been able to get in the water a ton due to a more flexible schedule than I've had before. I have had my best start to summer in years. Epic? No. But surfable almost every day.
