This is my good friend Spike, from Ireland, with his wonderful quiver. I've been asking him to send some pics, and this is one of the first ones I received, and with his permission, I'm posting it.

I was fortunate enough to visit Ireland in October 2001 (ran into the Malloys when they were filming "Step Into Liquid"), and Spike (along with his girlfriend Zoe) took care of my wife and me, and an amazing friendship has followed.

Spike and Zoe live on one of the best breaks in Ireland and are both HARDCORE surfers (as in they are both out there ALL winter long, in any type of conditions).

Spike is an Architect/College Professor by day, and a shper by night. These guys live an pretty remote area, and information/materials are sometimes hard to come by. I've alerted him to this wonderful forum, so if he shows up, and asks you guys some questions, please help him out.

He and Zoe are planning a trip here in December, and we're looking forward to seeing them again!

Here's the quiver, left to right:

If you can't aspire to own a quiver such as that, what can you aspire to?

That picture says it all! Jealousy is running high right now.

In my "More from Ireland" thread, I talk about the conditions. Yes, it can go from being world class one day to flat for 2 months, in the blink of an eye. Much like our East Coast (I grew up in Jersey, so I'm allowed to say that!).

You'll probably be seeing them again in December, Pinliner. One of the best parts about visiting them is what's at the end of the path that leads away from the back of their cottage
