That's exactly what I mean because that is what happens in presidential campaigns on both the right and the left. As for Rudy's leadership skills, remember GWB was a hero too right after 9/11 and now look at him. I think it's fairly easy by to look good after a disaster - not many will disagree with your decisions and all the politicians at that level can do a good photo op. The hard part is governing the country when there are many different paths to take.
My vote is going to the candidate who can keep us out of the bullshit we've had to step in for the last 6 years.
I've also come to admire my new Governer, Charlie Christ. I didn't vote for "Chain Gang Charley" but he seems to be doing the right things for Florida.
