I just wanna say that
@JDJ was right
I am now adding "must ride a south swell" and "must ride trestles" to the list of "Musts" before ditching a board.
Rode the Vader V2 at Uppers today and had a blast! The board is definitely a point board. It likes an open face to carve. Since it has so much Vee it sits deep in the water, so you have to be patient really
carve and
push through every single turn. Once I figured that out it became more effortless and super fun! No double pumps, no kicking the fins out, no aggressive or jerky maneuvers -- everything has to be smooth, and rail to rail, and it becomes this super fun little skatey, smooth, twin fin feeling board. (At least that is my experience so far).
Also, the Endrofins quad are a great fin for that board. The quad trailers are small enough to still have hold and loosen up the board perfectly. I think the Kraken twins with the trailers are quads are faster, but the Endorfins feel perfect.
Super stoked on the board and just wanted to say thanks to everyone and thanks to
@JDJ. I was ready to unload this thing cheap, but glad I didn't.
