Best way to check weather in my old neighborhood is to check weather for Sooke.
Being on the Strait and closer to the western end the weather can be quite variable, but probably not much different from Seattle in the long run.
It's a capricious spot and overrun with surfers these days I'm told. The mere mention of a SE wind blows it out quickly and it takes some time to recover. It recovers quickly when a westerly wind dies off though.
Photos always look better in good weather which is why they always show good weather, 'cause that's when they're taken. LOL
