If you have to be in the city a mixed dorm at the Green Tortoise is about $50/night.
Otherwise it's a hell of a lot cheaper to stay outside the city and take the BART.
Depends on where you're needing to be for "business."
Just drive your car or camper and live like the rest of us.
Just do a search on Hotels.com or whatever, you’ll find em. Most will be dated though
