What did the French do that caused all this French bashing? Summarize it for me. I can't seem to figure out where all this is coming from. There's lots of French surfers, after all. (See surf-related.)

Tell me, anyone, (not picking on you SCR), if you pulled a drowning man from the sea, what would you expect from his children? What if his children grew up to have different beliefs that you? A big deal, or okay because it's their own free will?

That's what we're doing with France right now. I call bull****. You can't expect the children of someone you saved to step up and kiss your ass. It should not be expected. Simple as that.

Because of troop shifts to the eastern front?
I think Hitler did that to himself when he decided to double cross the Soviets...Then the dreaded Russian winters stalled him out...

The answer is:

Yes.

They can spit on me.

Where I stand, I would feel sorry for them. But yes, they can spit all they want, because I just surf around all that garbage.

The French overwhelmingly support and help pass resolution 1441, which calls for the use of force if Sadaam doesn't produce (he hasn't). Iraq does not produce and when it comes time to follow through with said resolution they backtrack and say "veto"! no matter what, no matter what ammendments to 1441 are made. THEN Chirac and this whole Mugabe thing. Such a hypocritical SOB...Its all about France wanting more political power in the world. ALl of the sudden Chirac puts France in the spotlight to give their country's citizens a sense of belonging in the world stage. what a sham

That was a whole lot more than,"a word," Nameless.
As for the French, I regard them with contempt not only because of their ingratitude towards all the U.S. has done for them but because of their general arrogance towards all that is not French.

Crap, the French want the oil deal just like the rest, the fact that they are now trying to take the high road is ridiculous. I say screw em all, let the rest of the world rise up, settle this matter and take the credit for themselves, then we can get all our troops back safely and spend the dollars on the good ole U.S. of mother****ing A. were it belongs instead of lending the world what could and should be spent on US.

If you feel like the French owe us alleigence for the "rescue" in WWI and WWII, I have two questions for you. First, couldn't we just call it even? I mean, they kind of got us independence from England in the late Eighteenth century.

Second, should African Americans be recieving reparations for slavery? Their "free" labor helped create the wealth of America, should they not share a bit more in the spoils?

tell me, How did we make it clear that we didn't want it to work?

Impovershed nation?

Wasn't the decision to impose sanctions on Iraq after gulf war 1 a UN resolution?

"impovereshed naiton that poses no immenent threat?" nameless.. you are dumb... where have you bee nthe last 12-15 years? the fact that he has WMD means he poses no threat right? and the fact that he wants to use this on the US mean he poses no threat right? haha whatever man.. i have thoguht long and hard about this war and evne as much as i ahte to see innocent people killed, , the only way we can protect ourselves is to stirke first. either way, innocent lives will be lost! if we wait for saddam to strike first we will be the ones with the high civian casualties though!
