non-smokers in particular.

the point is, people shouldn't have to die due to poor oversight and
regulation on a product that is so obviously bad.

the tobacco companies were able to mislead the public for decades
because they had the money to pervert marked perception and stifle
the availability of consumer information.

People are going to die regardless

People dying is the best and quickest way to have the market turn on a product.

developed, first world countries have almost all banned tobacco marketing

that's the point.

also interesting that the populations in these *undeveloped* countries have
the money to spend on cigarettes...

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make re: culture?

We are talking about letting free market decide vs regulation and what influence that has on population's smoking habits.
