That's exactly right.
The last thing the powers that be wanted to do was charge an ex President, Trump gave them no choice. Trump argued for complete immunity from prosecution making him above the law just like a King.

Its nothing but politics. Stop pretending its anything else.
You want Cult Leader above the Law, simple as that. Trump has already been given many breaks on both his bond and anyone of us would have been locked up for threatening a judge.

Explain how would you prosecute Trump if he didn't break the law.

Go.

Or STFU

You've been harping about Biden Crime Family for years and you still didn't show us which laws were broken.

Trump shits all over all kinds of laws and you think it's political persecution.

What a clown you are.

You want politically motivated corrupt prosecutors to save you from the voters electing the BadOrangeMan again.
Can’t indict a sitting president, impeachment is the proper course, it’s up to congress!

Oh we can’t impeach so close to an election, we should let the voters decide!

Oh, we can’t indict someone for trying to cheat an election, it might look politically motivated!

Fortunately we have a judicial system that slightly favors to the defendant, the government has to prove it's case through evidence in front of a jury of his peers. These aren't "made up" things The reason we're here is because of the fat orange bad mans actions. If he was completely innocent of these charges why not go right to trial and settle it? The evidence has to stand up to scrutiny, this isn't fantasy land
