Well the FCS seems like it would be easier cuz you just have to make the hole in the board but it seems with futures you have to rout a perfect line or something.
Two holes per fin, perfectly aligned.

One slot per fin, perfectly aligned.

The router guide helps a lot. Futures is a 10 minute job, start to finish, with no ACETONE (FCS you are supposed to acetone clean the plug), and no extra resin steps. The Futures you route in the FOAM, not the glass, and slap those plugs in, glass over.

again, as i said i have not tryed futures.

luvtosurf,
the fcs system comes with a little white marking piece of plastic. you match them upto your shapers dots and in the middle of each plug on the template it shows where to puncture the whole. you take this pick and poke a hole. That way your holesaw has soemthing to start on. I liek to start the drill going counterclockwise. as if i was taking a screw out of a wall. it lets it drop in the glass a little more, so your holesaw doesnt just catch all the sudden and spiral 1/2 an inch out of your origan placement of it.

all i know is, at www.surfsource.net they sell the parts individualy. therefor all you would need is the holesaw, your own drill, the little plastic thingy, your fin jigs for glassing the plugs in, and something to poke the original holes.

or you could say ***** both these systems and ride a singlefin that swivles! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Ever heard the saying what goes up, must come down?
Easy in...easy out.

They're all easy, if you have the tools. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/socrazy.gif" alt="" />
