Going to CR next week and don't really want to take a boat trip out there,.. has anyone drivin to witches?
How long is the drive? Is it passable?

February should be good as I believe it is summer like weather out there. If you rent a good 4x4 vehicle you should be ok. Parts of the roads are very muddy and rutted. Some steep terrain at times. I have seen a land rover and a 4x4 truck make it down there during the wet season. Definatelly and adventure but a boat trip out is pretty good also.

takes a long time, you have to go pretty far inland and then the final part is pretty rough about 4 hours from Tamarindo if i remeber right. We made it in a 2 wheel drive top heavy van though...very kick ass
