Your explanation is clearly in bad faith and unsupported by facts.

If I was to start a thread like this, I would make sure that:

1) Portland police was actually defunded

2) if so, by how much

3) how did that affect policing and crime rates, if at all

4) find why the crime rates actually went up

But no, you go straight for fallacies.

The numbers speak for themselves. You can also see consecutive spikes in the years leading up to now. This also lines up with more Portland police leaving the force because of poor morale.

The entire "Defund" narrative is built upon fallacies.

And there's nothing more racist than partaking in a movement that demonizes police officers and strips them of the manpower and funding required to protect the most vulnerable, which disproportionately affects minorities far more than police misconduct.

murder rates, unfortunately, are up all over the place

that said, we're still living in incredibly safe times, based on historical data

here's to us crawling out of this economic slump and resuming a non-murderous path forward, boys!
