I’ll attend this thread.
I say good. We need oil. It’s the most important substance we use to be able to live as well as we do.
It is used in every single aspect of our daily lives. None of us be here if it wasn’t for oil. And by here I don’t mean posting on this forum (although computers wouldn’t exist without oil), I mean we would all be dead.
Life expectancy would be in the 40s, if even that high. We would live lives of misery and toil, the only saving grace is that those lives would be short.
What about ‘em?
Deep water oil exploration and extraction isn’t all that big of an issue for whales.
Why don't you ask Obama's Interior Department? They did such a bang-up job on Deepwater Horizon.

Holy sh!t I think I am actually seeing the strategy at work, the bigger picture of electricity generation:
It's so much easier to harpoon them on land and less wasteful when 2 out 3 don't sink to the bottom.
At least they're wearing more clothes than many of their ilk at the local Target/Walmart/Costco.
Sonar is used for a lot of things….
Using it to search for oil is a good reason.
Maybe you should try to go one single day without using any petroleum derived products.
