I love this part of it (can surf early), and hate when it goes the other way.
Never understood this logic; the month or so window that lets people surf early due to daylight savings correlates with the biggest morning tides of the year swamping out the majority of spots.

I think I averaged out all the tides in this period one year and they averaged something like 6.7 ft.

Dumbest fucking thing ever created. And we keep doing it, when all the fucking science points to happier people when it's not dark out at 4.30pm.
What really sucks is if you are an early riser with a good solid sleep schedule. If you’re normally waking up at 4:30 suddenly you’re waking up at 3:30 instead.

before I had a kid I loved the fall time change, extra hour of sleep for a couple days until you adjust. Spring always sucked enoufh to not want it anymore.

with a kid the fall time change sucks! My kjd wakes up early when we want to sleep in. Spring is much better.

no time change, please.

I ran the Golden Gate Half Marathon on Sunday. The race started at 6:50am. i was kind of worried because it meant waking up at 5am and, to be frank, you really want to have a bowel movement before you go out and run 13 miles. But on the body clock the race started at 7:50. Totally doable. For me, this year, the time change was a god send.

This is me. I don't use an alarm clock. I hate the fall time change. It also feels like the work day ends at 6:00 instead of 5:00 and damn is it depressing driving home from work in darkness. By the way, there are 123 days and 17 hours until we put the clocks back where they belong.

I forgot how much the time change effects international call schedules.

trying to synchronize with certain regions is tricky, add in an hour change in one country‘s time change on a different day than another’s, it’s a royal PIA.
