Same. With no paddle or crowd to deal with, it’s an amazing sensation to be on a small board in good waves.
Years ago I was shitting my pants at T______ dodging sets pushing TOH. I had gotten obliterated on a wave and the rip cycled me back outside. I was literally just trying to get to the beach alive and Bobby paddles up on a 5’4ish Stretch quad and proceeds to rip the sh!t out it.
I think that's the same session at HT's that's in Leo Fioravanti's new edit The Cut. Those waves are insane. I've only surfed there twice (on the same 13 day boat trip) and it was maybe head high and super rippable, but I would have loved to have gotten something close to the waves in the clip/edit.Ho lee chit
