Astro Burger on Melrose and Gower in Hollywood by Paramount. Hunter S. Thompson used to write there sometimes.

Burger Barn off Pleasant Valley in Camarillo.

George's on Lincoln in Venice.

Firestone in Buellton makes a mean burger. Jalama burger is unreal, so are the ones they make at Hobson's Beach Park.

Pappy and Harriet's house burger in Pioneertown.

Don't waste your time with chain burgers, just don't. If you must, the Habit.
Ahhh...a Hunter Thompson fanboy. Now I understand why you hate religion.

best burger i ever had was the Big Mec at Petit Trois.

25 bucks so not a regular thing by any means especially now but worth trying once in your life for sure

I've always wanted to try this, but never got around to it. They're selling a kit at the Sherman Oaks location: https://petittrois.com/petit-trois-goods/big-mec-kit

My aunt lives nearby and loves the restaurant. I might have to pick up an order for her and bring a cooler to transport the big mec kit home

The OC
That burger looks epic. I have a brother in the SFV, will need to check out that place once things open back up.

Two schools here.

The drive through burger and the order in, sit down burger.

Around here if I'm going to have a sit down burger its a Nickle burger at the Wooden Nickle over in Freedom.

when you order at In n Out, ask for the fries to be "extra crispy"

level up

I hate when Five Guys' fries are under cooked or not hot right out of the fryer
This times million.

I overheard someone order fries extra crispy and I was all like wtf let's do it and O.....M.....G

Also, raw onions and yellow peppers. NO LETUCE

Smashburger Truffle Mushroom Swiss Burger is the sh!t.

Actually, scratch that, truffle anything is the sh!t.

I've had sweet potato fries with truffle and duck confit at some fancy place and that was crack.

I don't know why avoided this thread.

I don't get Five Guys soggy fries and borgar

I'd rather have a Kurger Bing :poop:

its like a balsamic sauce - not exactly sure but it was delish.
Bordelaise sauce. The demi glace that goes into it takes forever to make. A fancy joint I worked at took 2-3 days roasting bones, then putting everything in a huge 10+ gl stock pot over a huge burner and simmering it down to about 1 gallon. Actually weird to never see a fancy burger with that. It seems like a perfect fit.
The pan had a spigot at the bottom like this:
