yeah, that's definitely not part of a longer-term trend, along with rising wages, lower unemployment and increased job openings. Good call.

I've never understood the up all night to save $100 on a TV thing. Aren't the deals as good/better on line now anyway?

West of the Atlantic. East of the ICW.
Bottom line is consumers and businesses are breathing a big sigh of relief that the Obama administration is coming to an end. I've been seeing it in my own business as well as there is a tremendous pent up demand from businesses and consumers who have been holding off purchases for as long as they could. Businesses and people are starting to spend money again. Hopefully the economy comes roaring back.

The economy is rejoicing that Obama is on the way out the door.

How does an economy rejoice?

Does it throw a party?

What did you buy now that your confidence soared?

A box of tampons?

You haven't shown any correlation to this being a result of Obama leaving and people sighing relief.

If anything it's evidence of a successful presidency, who helped boost the economy.

Obama is still our president in case you forgot.

One thing that gets missed when Repubs criticize Obama for tepid growth is that this period has been a very long period of growth. I think the word is stability. Quite an achievement considering the state of the economy after 8 years of our last Repub admin. With Trump I'm thinking we're in for a rocky ride. I'd be happy to be proven wrong though.

Its false growth though. Growth for the financial class in the more or less fantasy world of financial products and corporate profits does not translate to real world economic improvement and growth

Of course he did. But Crooked Hillary was crooked for taking money for her speeches to them.
