Anyone ever ridden one? What's the consensus - groveler or weird HP shortboard or... other/both/neither?

Have one and really like it. I live on the east coast and it works in everything. Have taken to Central America many times. Noel Salas has a good review on this board.

My good friend who lives in Cabo has one and loves it. He says it's one of the few boards he's had that works equally well in the soft points and punchy beachies. He also loved the OG pod back in the day. He tried to convince me to get one of the Pod Mod's but it looks a little too short n curvy for me as a tall guy. Opted for a custom Ultra Joe instead but it's not arrived yet. Been ages since I've ridden a CI.

Ditto on the "ages" note. But I have a great history with them, so I'm now curious and have some unrequited 6-channel love I need to rekindle.

Oh and just to add, my friend rides his mostly as a twin/trailer w/ the AMT's, I think.

OG flyer was the board that got me back into surfing in my mid 20's so CI's have a special place in my heart, despite a few soft glass jobs.

I had a 5'6 in flexbar I got secondhand. It was a little too thick for my taste 2 9/16 me x 185 lbs, but if I had one size down I would've felt fine pushing it into OH surf
