Rob Olliges has an amazing thread going at swaylocks. Rob is posting photos of Cheyne riding different boards and Cheyne is posting and telling a little about them. If it was on this forum I'd nominate it for post of the year.
Thanks Rob <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applause.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applause.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applause.gif" alt="" />

it's really him, he said so!

No really, I was super skeptical when he first started posting some time ago but it was confirmed by a friend of his.

Towards the end i'll post a picture of his thruster/tri-fin.

I remember his first post; it's just that it conflicted with something he told me previously so I was thinking "troll."

Sad. Swaylocks has tumbled downward: rabid newbie dabblers, ego-maniacal experimenters, cynical pros, grumpy geriatrics, bored urban suck-ups. The latter get a hardon from rubbing up against has-been surfstars. Sways used to be the bomb. Now days it`s all the same.

These days, I think you get banned from swaylocks if you admit that you like riding standard 6'3" squashtail single-&gt;double concave tri-fins. Especially if you get em glassed clear.

True but if you had shaped it yourself, vacuummed bagged it and glassed it with pine tree sap you might not get banned but you'd be put on a watch list. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shameonyou.gif" alt="" /> Swaylocks is a good place, don't knock it.. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/computer.gif" alt="" />

My thoughts exactly, DK.

Knock sways if you want, but that doesn't make it any less valuable a resource. I learned basic shaping from shaping 101, then learned EVERYTHING else I know about board-building from Sways. Look at my boards and tell me how I went from zero knowledge to where I am if you think that swaylocks consists only of "rabid newbie dabblers, ego-maniacal experimenters, cynical pros, grumpy geriatrics, bored urban suck-ups".

ricky c, I think you should follow your rant its inevitable conclusion, and never again visit sways.

If this puts me into the classification of "rabid newbie" then so be it. I'll wear that title as a badge of honor.

And a big two thumbs up on the Cheyne thread!

Sounds like Ricky is glueing a lot of nylon these days. I don't think "hardon" is one word. Bobsurf, do you know?
