CRT is being conflated with anything that has to do with race.

As I said, I expected the right to come after teachers, which they are doing, but the left caught me by surprise.

I don't know that/if it is happening at the K-12 level, but if David Lawyer, professor at Santa Barbara City College (US 90s, now retired i think), ended up teaching his "Racism in America" class at a high school I'd have no problem with my kid taking the class. Odd that this was taught in Santa Barbara, where there are no black people nor racism. Could have used it in Fresno.

It's even more important in Santa Barbara.

A lot of people who live sheltered lives are still unaware of the adversity some people face in this country.

I mean, just look at erBB and the amount of energy some people are putting into arguing that racism is not an issue in this country.
All white men who never faced adversity of any kind, nor they witnessed it.
Completely detached from reality.

So all the passionate opposition to banning the instruction to kids of a political worldview - in part or in whole - that is supposedly not being instructed is based on what? Why oppose the non-occurence of something you swear is not occurring? Unless you're blatantly lying about it non occurring and you believe it should occur. In which case you can GFY.

I don't care what labels are or aren't being used or which semantics are applicable. All that's important is who is doing what.
