Try to stay away form beaches in general on the 4th cause its a shitshow usually.
wall to wall tents cars/monster trucks parked three deep no way to get near the beach packed hundreds of local moco families I've never seen taking over the beach like a giant commune. Totally pissed and lost interest in getting anywhere near that human mess.It looked like this only worse with no trees or grass, porta pottys, barbeque pits intermixed between all the tents and people packed shoulder to shoulder everywhere including in the water. A friend I ran into said it's been like that since they closed whiteplains, so locals decided to "make house" at our home break.
