I have heard a ton of epic Bruce Willis on AC bender stories. Old surf buddy of mine used to hang out with Bruce and his entourage occasionally. They would go on 3 day coke and booze fueled casino benders, all paid for by Bruce because he just loved partying with regular guys, and spoiling them rotten while doing so. He would take over a black jack table, have the crew take up the rest of the seats, and he would just drop 5K in chips in front of each of his pals so they could all rage and gamble together. Meanwhile Bruce himself would be betting $50K per hand

West of the Atlantic. East of the ICW.
When Bruce got the big break on Moonlighting my high school English teacher at the time had had him as a high school student. At the time it was a pretty big deal to see a South Jersey guy hit the big time on TV like that. Guy literally went from being a security guard at the Salem Nuclear plant to starring in a network TV show and movies.

Yeah his working class to riches story is pretty legit and I actually believe he is vastly underrated as a true actor and not just famous as an action/humor/one liner guy

It's a stroke. alzheimers is slow and if it was TBI they'd say TBI. They said, aphasia, common in strokes. 10:1 its a stroke. sad for him, acting is probably over but with rehab he might get some function back.

My mom had a pretty major stroke 10 days ago. And i chit you not her speech is already back to mostly normal and she's walking around unaided. Just got back from Florida yesterday

Now the doctors have to figure out what caused it. she had a massive stomach thing going on when she had the stroke (the violent dry heaving itself may very well have caused the stroke), but she also now apparently has a major heart arrhythmia

i read this article recently (before the news about his disease) about why he makes such terrible movies anymore. the diagnosis of aphasia may completely gut the premise of the article but it was pretty interesting.

My guess was always that Frank Grillo had some serious dirt on him.

sorry your mom had a stroke, but I’m glad she’s recovering so quickly!

That's a bummer especially after reading the possibilities of what the root cause of his disorder could be.
Yes, people think pinkeye is the only possible ramification of a-eating. Little do they know there's more to fecal matter than possible crusty eye boogers and swelling.
