i wa surfin today and i notice after i ride down the wave and im at the flats i stall, anyone know why this might be and what i should be doin isntead.

also.. im havin a lil bit of trouble paddlin into larger waves i think.. i cant seem to catch near as many as the smaller ones.. like 4-5 ft waves are harder than the 2 ft obviously.. anyone got ne tips?
i used to workout but now im just gonna be doin strength training... yesterday i just did some pushups(inclinde/decline/regular) and pullups and chinups and crunches.
i noticed when i first got in the water my shoulders were sore but after that they didnt really seem to feel any different.

If you surf everyday you will learn fast. Once you can bottom turn and can ride a wave a little better you will start having a lot of fun with surfing.

ps-

I cant IM you because I just got rid of AOL and don't have a messager yet.

You kind of have the idea. You don't just lean forward. For frontsibe you put weight on your toes and lean forward. Same thing for backside except you put the weight on your heels. Its hard to explain. You gotta go by feel. Once you do it you will understand.

lol i dont care ;p
does the bottom turn still work if white water breaks wher u were turning.. kind opf
like u drop in and then to the left of u white water breaks so like can u stil go around(during the bottom turn) it or do u lose a lot of speed?

Yes you can. After you make the drop you can bottom turn around whitewater to a clean face. Is that what you are asking? Bottom turning is 1 way to make sections. You can air over them or do a floater but I wouldn;t advise you to try that yet.

yea thats what i was asking... so like do u have to do that for bottom turns?
i mean like is that the main use of a bottom turn.. to get around a section?
or is it just for speed.
