havent tryed the g5 or g7....they are huge. i hate the g5's.

i have tryed some fiberglass fcs fins though. i liked em better than plactic....until i ripped out a plug jamming a bottom turn. (only head high <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/socrazy.gif" alt="" />)

not worth 40-50$ to me...but they are better than carbon

tried them(G7) on my 6'8" Merrick Flyer last weekend..
They hum.
Switched to the Simon Anderson carbons but waiting for another weekend swell to try it.
Was riding the merrick carbons before and liked those. But pretty much a fan of the big tipped GRs(Rusty)
Oh Keone Downing makes some nice hand made fiberglass fins (FCS plugs) for his Slippahs. I don't know if you can buy them without the boards though..
I also love fiberglass fins (glass on especially) but always cut my feet on them sooner or later.

Good info..but pretty typical wise-ass haole(which I mistakenly presume your are) remarks to get things started.
What let me guess Punahou or mainland educated? or maybe Kailua or Haole-iwa?

Anyway you are right that it is insensitive and possibly disrespectful to post here in incorrect english. But then again I don't want to bother my secretary to proof read these blubs of insanity just to keep people happy. Lucky to get in and out when I can.

Computers, their keyboards and these dumb-ass text boxes along with typing is not part of my upbringing.. I used punch cards for input in college.

Anyway to keep it short, very good info, bad start. You sound like a pro, semi-pro or someone in the biz.. Maybe even a FCS rep. Who also happens to be good customer of ours..

Bottomline though they do hum just like my future 3/2's. Not saying that's good or bad, it just happens when I use them while my other fins don't. They are much lighter than the original composites which is nice.

Apologies Tubedog..
No harm intended, just reflecting what I see everyday here as far as people coming over here trying to act and speak like they know everything and suckering all the locals into nigerian, pozi or other pyramid schemes. Your comments kind of reminded me of this whole Dobelle disgrace we are faced with now..
Anyway I like the info at Swaylocks and saw some of your test results with Herb Spitzer's superchargers amd Mark Spindlers MVGs.. I'm tempted to buy some of Herb leftovers but your comments made be back off. Seems like you should just get a C5 or something instead (which I already own a couple of).
Anyway alot of the responses especially here are very spicolli like. I know Surfgear got blasted by the mainlanders and he seems like he's a genuine do-gooder.

My main spelling problem is a combination of my typing skills along with having these stupid text windows to work with.. Not like working in a word document or something..

Apologies again just the native blood reacting again.

Malama and thanks for your Mana'o..

Oh DK..
by the way, your comments about the HydroEpic board looking gay.. If you really think about our history, surfing and all it's thin bodied long haired pretty boy epocs pretty much has a heavy gay if not metrosexual atmosphere.. The young-uns should think about it.. This ain't a sport for Shaquille O'neil although that would neat..

Just kidding.. and I'm glad you're shaping and like Eric Arakawa says don't under estimate new technology..
