i actually got an Ascendant from Matty a few years back. Easy to e-mail back and forth with him to figure out a custom, and yup finished and glassed at PureGlass in Costa Mesa. It was a good small wave board.

He's a nice guy. I've bought a few different boards from him over the years and liked all of them.

It isn't a ghost shaper based on what he told me. He flies to Costa Mesa and does boards for a week once every month or so.

Yeah I forgot to mention he shaped my board when he was out here on one of his shaping trips, and I’m assuming the dudes at Pureglass glassed it.
