It's hard to discuss because you're spinning his death to make an anti-vaxx argument.
If you have blood cancer you are extremely prone to infections, vaccine or no vaccine.
Not all of them would kill you but COVID has more chance to do so.
That doesn't make vaccine ineffective, it just makes cancer very effective.
If anything, this shows how stupid the whole "died with COVID" mantra is.
I don't think being vaccinated or not had anything to do with his death. It's very clear that parts of our population are at high risk, Colin Powell being one of them. The headlines on every news service this morning were Colin Power Dies from Covid. Lots of people knew the details...those that didn't were subject to lectures rather than just answering the question like norm did. Covid is now like a political party with it's own silos, straw men, and gotchas.
I think the reason to make a distinction between dying from and with covid is because clearly there is a narrative being driven by the panic pornographers like CNN. If you recall it wasn't too long ago that most on this board thought Covid was a guaranteed death sentence and almost 50% of democrats feel that if a person is infected with Covid they have a 75% chance of winding up in the hospital. People can accept and digest nuance. The government and its media hucksters have taken the road of we know what's best truth be damned....like social distancing and masks when they absolutely know without a shred of doubt that it's nonsense. Leveling with the American people is not a bad thing...even if the message is "we have no idea what we are looking at or how to control it". Instead our leaders lied, played politics and exacted revenge in the name of ideology and now can't understand why there is hesitancy to believe a word they say.
If everyone got the vaccine, even those who don't need it, it would bias those who should get it who are not getting it and dying get it.
I'm struck by the "doing it for the society" is so alien to people.
I probably didn't need it.
I got it.
And moved on.

This is not new technology that needs to be studied.
We know exactly how quickly it degrades and how long after the shot the side-effects can appear.
