Minneapolis just a few years ago was a great city. Clean, perfectly walkable even at night. Same with Austin, which now has a police department that has been cut in half and crime that is out of control. Los Angeles....same.

DOJ found:
- MPD uses excessive force, including unjustified deadly force and other types of force.
- MPD unlawfully discriminates against Black and Native American people in its enforcement activities.
- MPD violates the rights of people engaged in protected speech.
- MPD and the City discriminate against people with behavioral health disabilities when responding to calls for assistance.
Austin police was not defunded. they are having staffing issues as retirements are outstripping new hires. it seems the police are having a hard time recruiting....
