With the forecast being what it is, they might just as well run today.
Monday can be a bit better :/

This is why trips to zones with lightly-attended canyon-fed beachbreaks are the go.
I hear ya, but man they just got unlucky (again) with this one. I was in nica last month and it was all time for 10 days, sand was still money b/c big swells hadn't pushed it around yet at the points (granted it was a river mouth). Not going to lie, I love seeing the new tour get skunked.

It's been firing for almost 50 days down there non-stop, the WSL comes to town and it's shoulder season...can't make this sh!t up, surf gods no like wsl bruddah

...When you cut the field, but still have to run 2 events.
If these were stand alone events for the men or women, they'd be finished by now.
But if these were stand alone events for the men or women, there'd be less events on the women's tour.

Looking at the cam just now and its crap. This event is going to end just like last years grovel fest with Grffin and Felipe.

I think their luck is about average. I've been to Central America like 10 times, almost always in late June/early July, and I've gotten legitimately good waves once, and half the trips it got "I'm only surfing this because I took the day off and there's jack sh!t else to do." small for multiple days.

Filepe is surfing really really good, but IMO he's getting juiced against Ian.
I put him as winning the heat, but not by this much.

Funny how bad luck tends to follow the WSL. At what point is a continuous streak of bad luck regarding surf conditions a function of bad strategy, planning and execution.
