I love candy like a child. Last halloween I didn't have a single piece cause I was fresh off a significant weight loss.

There have been a few times in the past year that I've mowed a bag of jelly beans or Australian licorice like it's my last meal but overall I've cut it down to almost zero

Candy is gross. I don't understand the appeal once someone's over the age of 12ish.
This was my take my whole adult life. Maybe a Snickers and a coke for an energy blast once a year but I was indifferent to ward dessert and all of it, kids stuff. Until, January 2015.
Gave up Beer, I guess for candy all too often.

I used to get a black licorice whip every time I went to Knott's Berry Farm when I was a kid. I wonder if they still have them. Probably not. At least not the real deal like they used to have.
Do they still have the chicken dinner restaurant there? That was the bestest.

I'm off sugar for the most part but still have dark chocolate once a week. Some pink himalayan salt. I found a brownie recipe that is so good. 1 cup sweet potato. 1 cup almond butter. 1 cup maple syrup. 1 cup dark chocolate chips. 1/2 cup cacao powder. 1/2 cup walnuts. Mix together and bake at 350 for 40 minutes. So damn good.

That sounds good. Naturally sourced (maple)sugar is still sugar though please move this to the yolo thread.
I do dark chocolate to feel a little less dirty about it sometimes.
Sometimes when I kook I'll use sugar/brown sugar in dishes that typically don't call for it, and coffee, those are my secret ingredients, pineapple works in mysterious ways as well, and peanut butter. Sugar comes at you from all directions you can't put your guard down if you're like me.

I was eating chocolate covered roasted coffee beans from Trader Joes. Then I looked at the nutrition facts and was shocked at the saturated fat and sugar numbers.
