I understand your point exactly.

He is a dumb, misguided kid, but he was allowed to be there. It's an open carry state, so he was allowed to have the gun.

What exactly are you outraged about here? You wanted him to be found guilty and imprisoned for breaking laws that are not on the books but that you think should be on the books?

What media do you consume and what about it has led you to be infected by twitter narratives without ever logging in to twitter? Maybe it really is just this site... that would be pretty fascinating.
If you don’t understand how dangerous this precedent is, I guess I can’t help you.

Nobody said he didn’t have the right to be there.

I questioned his motives, which are obvioius to anyone who is being honest.
He was there to stir sh!t with his rifle, he succeded and got away with it.

You also don’t seem to be familiar with the case or the laws - it’s not legal for minors to open carry in Wisconsin.

I’m not sure why are you obsessed with my media sources.
I’ve already said that I don’t read other people’s opinions because I find it boring and I don’t consume social media, except instagram which is 100% dogs, art, music and surf.

Don’t quite understand why you would think I’m not capable of forming an opinion.

Whatever opinions you have, I’m sure there are millions of others who share the same views.

Does that make your opinions somehow not authentic? :poke:

For @bird.LA

If you you must know my narrative….

\I never thought the prosecution had a good case. And I never thought KR showed up that day with the intent of killing people. I think he foolishly inserted himself into a scene with the false confidence of carrying a loaded assault rifle along with the thought that his presence along with others with long guns would be enough of a deterrent to save some property in a town where he wasn’t a resident and he could live out some hero fantasy. He quickly realized he bit off more than he could chew, false confidence and bravado quickly turned to fear and he ended up shooting three people as he ran away from the scene. At the end of the day three people were shot, two ended up dead, he lost the remaining years of his teens to the infamy of this case, the drama for the people of kenosha was drawn out by the case and his actions did nothing to save anything. It’s not like he bravely held the line and saved the people of Kenosha from being and raped and pillaged by an angry mob. He got scared and ran, killing two and injuring one in the process. Nobody is a winner in that situation. As bad as the situation in Kenosha was, it was only made worse because he was there with his gun and it’s beyond silly that he’s being heralded as some type of hero by many.

Thats my narrative.
The next step is that more protesters will come strapped. Like I said years ago, it's just a matter of time until the escalation gets to IEDs and car bombs. That's what makes it so intolerable to allow street protests to transition into street violence. Inclusive of threats of violence.

But your opinions always match a dominant narrative being pushed by people who are twitter obsessed. You have a 100% match rate with the twitter left. Whether those opinions are factually based or emotionally based as is the case in this instance, it's always true.

Watching right and left true believers all buy into dominant social media story lines based on half truths has been really fascinating to me. It's been going on for years now, but seems to really be ramping up now. I see it happening to people I know nowadays and it's pretty much always twitter. But I'm interested in where else it could be coming from. That's why I'm curious.

You don't have to answer though.

the bag was thrown while Rosenbaum was in the process of chasing KR. Shortly after, Rosenbaum grabbed KRs gun, then shot.

Why are you so bad at facts?
I posted the witness statements and you didn’t quiote them for some reason.

I met million crazy people on the street who acted beligerently.
It never crossed my mind to use lethal force or that my life is in danger.
There are million other ways to avoid the conflict, the first one not being there in the first place.

But when you carry a gun, I guess you might as well use it, right?
Carry a gun and everything is a target.

Left-leaning people - this right here is why you need to not feed the story line that the people KR killed were protestors. Do not let fascists like this attribute violence to the causes peaceful protestors were there to support.

These fks are working on passing laws that decriminalize driving cars into crowds of protestors for gods' sake. Do not help them achieve their goals.

You don't know enough old people out in Mar Twitter.

Most of my friends dread the holidays even more than normal because the rooms without TVs blaring Fox News have their parents/uncles/aunts etc. blaring Fox News. The "how was your holiday" questions all end the same. Their parents just would not shut the fuck up about anything other than what Fox News was on about until the biological child was honor-bound to defend their spouse/children. Blowup fight, drive home.

Even I have had some issues steering the holiday topics off politics. My older relatives are mostly on the MSNBC end of the spectrum. They're mostly from New York. They sound like liberal member berries.

MOAR GUNS = MOAR PEACE!!!

Not a fan of that personally. But it sure seems that protesters openly carrying firearms get a much more polite response from the police. Instead of tear gase and billy clubs they get an escort. Maybe all protesters should be armed?

Not a single person on Twitter shares your opinions? Wow.

You are still asking the question I’ve already answered 3 times.
And you didn’t answer any of mine.

Bye, unique thinker.

So you're saying that Fecal watches a lot of MSNBC? That would make sense I suppose.

TBH, I forget that it exists.

That isn't the testimony from any of the witnesses. As well, Rosenbaum wasn't 10ft away when he got shot, either.
Actually yes it was.

“The first man shot and killed by Kyle Rittenhouse on the streets of Kenosha was acting “belligerently” that night but did not appear to pose a serious threat to anyone, a witness testified Friday at Rittenhouse’s murder trial.

Jason Lackowski, a former Marine who said he took an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle to Kenosha last year to help protect property during violent protests against racial injustice, said that Joseph Rosenbaum “asked very bluntly to shoot him” and took a few “false steppings ... to entice someone to do something.”

Lackowski got up from the witness stand and demonstrated what he meant by “false stepping.” He took a small step and slight lurch forward, then stopped.”

I'm sorry you don't get what I'm trying to understand. Did not mean to get you into a tizzy. Keep on fighting the good fight using whichever sources it is that you prefer. :shaka:

You are becoming a strawman specialist.

If you are not careful, you will take the title from GrossDad.
You don't know what that word means.

It's fine if you don't want to share your media diet with me. I find you fascinating nonetheless.

Did you copy that response from Twitter or MSNBC?

I swear I’ve heard that before.

I find your ability to think that your opinions are unique fascinating.

Also the ability and persistance to constantly build strawmen must be tiring.

No, I'm saying this has been going on with cable news since before Twitter existed. I think Twitter is downstream, not the source.

You've been looking for a parking space in a West LA Whole Foods lot all afternoon trying to make Fecal more angry than you, haven't you?

Yeah that makes sense. I guess I get caught up on the fact that people's thanksgiving convos are now 24/7 online and that they're more difficult to avoid than ever before. My family's meals are very civil lol. Appreciate the perspective.

There was a time I thought the internet might lead to more people questioning these sorts of narratives. How naive I was.

I live in South LA now, but yes, I still drive west for Whole Foods.
