Yes, I do want to make an issue of the casting - major fail on diversity in 2021. Surfing is NOT an exclusively white endeavour and it IS a big deal.
As Mikey February said recently, when he saw Buttons surfing in magazines and surf movies he thought "Maybe there's a place in surfing for people who look like me"
