That does not address any point i made.

Not one.
The dead people in a nursing home were taking precautions and sheltering in place. They likely died because of the actions of the nursing home staff who attended a Superspreader even. That’s the point, it’s not that we have to pay the price for the consequences of our actions, often times others do. Even those who are taking precautions.

Temporarily curtailed...that's cool.

It's all good as long as it's the people on your political team telling us what to do:shaka:
Yes, the Germans are on my team and the South Koreans and the Fins and the Canadians and.... and can you find me a red state that hasn't put restrictions of some sort in place? So if my "political team" is literally the entire nation and world, then yeah, good point.

Retard.
People who work at a nursing home are obviously signed on to be responsible for the lives of others.

Do you think we can have a functioning economy with a pandemic?

That is the heart of the matter.

I don't know enough to know the answer to that question.
We can have a booming economy in war. Why can we not have a normal economy while there is a bad cold going around?

That was possibly the worst comparison I’ve seen here.

you keep being your own worst enemy.

not a good way to create an argument.

don’t do that

I was really hoping string cheese would give me an intelligent response that made me think about my beliefs.

I want to think, Oh, wow, I never thought of it that way. Great point!

Instead, I really want to do my "why-are-right-winger-nut jobs so bad as comparisons?" trope, but I think I have been abusing it lately.

Every time they talk it includes some kind of faulty comparison. :roflmao: :loser:

I think we need to first define "functioning"

If by that you mean a system where the large players are enabled to thrive while the small players die due to local and state politician and bureaucratic edicts, then yes.

No, that is not what I mean.

This is where something that we liberal faggots call a "safety net" would come in handy.

But that is socialism.

The problem is that it’s often not the people who die from the consequences of their own behavior. That’s the problem with a highly contagious virus with a low mortality rate and asymptomatic carriers. It’s the fact that the consequences of ones behavior can kill other people. Otherwise I’d be in full support of a Darwinist response. If you wanna play on the train tracks and risk getting hit by a train have fun.
You're still walking outside.

You're not doing what Lord Gavin says

You're literally murdering people

When there's a mandatory evacuation because of the fires, make sure you disobey it because government shouldn't tell you what to do.

This loss of freedom will not be tolerated!

Okay, people who work at a nursing home are signed on to be responsible for the lives of others.

But they are irresponsible, like most people are, including you, if there are no rules.

What now?

You don't even know what the role of the government is, retard.

It's almost like Americans feel they have no current restrictions on their "liberties". They live just fine with stacks and stacks of laws and rules and regulations, but one more, no, that's TOO FAR!
Everyone needs to ignore this

Can a cop kill a black guy again so you guys will get off your ass and protest?

America is a country of rebels and misfits, that's what makes it great.

The problem is, these rebels became so coddled in the past 80 or so years, that things like the plastic bag ban, transgender bathrooms and preventative pandemic measures are the worst threat to freedom they experienced.

So now they cosplay with their guns and rebel against wearing a fucking mask.

rebels = having the exact same ideas as all the other people who love Trump and never wavering from those ideas under any circumstance!

I don't where the nursing home is that you reference, but in New York state, in the beginning of the pandemic Cuomo and his administration passed regulations mandating that nursing homes had to take covid patients. His thinking was that hospitals were going to be overrun and they needed the beds. So the covid patients went to nursing homes and an estimate 14k people died as a result. Nursing homes are not equiped to deal with an infectious disease on that level. It is well documented.

After all those people croaked, doofus reversed the policy.
