Right now I'm consoling myself with the fact that Mao was a helluva a lot tougher than any of the most militant elements of the Left such as the John Brown Gun Club or Antifa. Mao spent a couple decades fighting the Imperial Japanese Army and then Chiang Kai Shek. IDK much about the Red vs White elements in the Boleshevik Revolution. Russia was screwed after WW1 AFAIK.
It's going to look a lot like Brazil in the 1960s and Argentina over the past 20 years (or the '60s and '70s).
