What Blank?

I'm lookin to shape a board this summer. I want like a 6' 1-3 old shaped bonzer with a diamond tail. What kind of blank should i get?

Clark, somewhere between 6'4 to 6'11, depending on your preference for rocker and thickness, which depend on your width, outline, and YOUR body size, and waves to be ridden.

Yeah thats what i was thinking. I'm gonna go see Vince Balas who shapes Planet Blue surfboards and talk to him about it, He's a great guy n real close to where i live.

Yeah i just saw that good diagram there. I doubt it will work that good in my area but if it doesnt i'm gonna see bout gettin it acid washed n stuff so i'll hang it if it doesnt.

personally i'd use a 6'4" r for a 6'2" or 6'3" board. 6'1"r for a 6'6" or under

How hard is it to resin tint a board?
or is it somethin i have to get done?
O and here all my dimensions and what i surf a lot.
I'm 6' tall, 150lbs., strong paddler. Most of the waves will be very shapely sand bar breaks(Hudson St. for those from LBI). I want it to be fairly wide board, like 20" or even bigger, same shape as the CS MFG but with the Surf Prescription style diamond tail.

try the 67A. you need the thickness in the tail to shape the bonzer correctly. the 64's and such won't cut it, not enough volume.

Tinting a board isn't difficult, but getting a CLEAN lap line is!

Check with foam ez or surflab for do it yourself kits. That may help with costs.

Yeah I got some new dimensions, I want my board to be 5'9" 19 3/4" and 2 5/8" thick.

Thanks surflab, got some money for my bday so probaly gonna buy the blank unless i get a new telephoto lense for my camera. My other question is should i do 2 big bonzers or the 4 red-X system.

im digging the red-x because you have the options of single fin tri fin or a fabulous 5.
