The board on the left is a 6'0, 18 1/8, 2 1/8 Spyder squash bump 04 model that I got back in July. The right fin box has been professionaly repaired. Board is in great condition, no buckles or delams anywhere, almost new except for said fin box. Asking $280 for it.

The board on the right is 5'11, 18 1/2, 2 1/4. The tail shape is a thumb tail like the rusty CJ model. Once again in great condition, small ding on bottom that was professionaly repaired. This is a really great small wave summer board. I'm asking $230 because the deck has more pressure dings. I'm pretty light footed but this was my #1 board for a while and has seen some use.

Both boards are equipped with Futures Fin systems and Do Not come with fins. I have more pictures and can take more if you want. Local pickup would be best but I'm willing to meet as far south as Oceanside and as far north as County Line for an extra $25. Either pm me or email me at blakeoner@hotmail.com

Also for sale is a set of Futures JC1 460 Vector RTM fins. These are super lightweight and made for speed. I'm a smaller guy and they felt too stiff for me, so I moved down to the 437 Vectors and haven't looked back. They were used around 10 times. They retail for $90 but I'll let em go for $50.

Gearbox- I have one board with Futures (even though I consider myself a RedX guy; this particular board was only available in FCS and Futures) and like the 437's but I'm a bigger guy (6'0" 180-185) and feel like they are just a tad small for me and have wanted to try out the slightly bigger vectors. If interested in mailing them to me, maybe we can figure out payment (do you have paypal by any chance)?

Carverb, thanks for the info. Will definitely give them a go.

AS I said, most of my boards are RedX and will remain that way, but for this one board (6'4" XTR epoxy Pro-ject) I had no choice; I think these should be the right fins for her.

Gearbox- I'll send a money order either tomorrow or Wednesday AM. I'll be out of town Jan 23-29th, so no huge rush.

I'll be very interested in a full report Hacky! I've got futures on my XTR too, and that board is already super fast. With vectors I might be able to get to "ludicrous speed".

Gearbox, the cashola was sent via US Postal Service this AM. Thanks for agreeing to ship them to me!

Pickles- which model XTR did you get? I think it was a Lost, correct? I got a 6'4" Rusty Pro-ject. So far, very fast down the line and drives hard. I have been riding the small 0-degree 437 Vectors in the board and I really like how it feels on snappy pocket-turns, but the original pump through the bottom turn does not seem to generate the acceleration and drive I would like and have come to expect. But the board locks in and drives in the barrel. Hence my wanting to try the similar fin with a little larger template.

I have also been riding the 3/2s with the hatchet fin. They scream down the line with a very locked-in but not over-finned feel. They make nice wide cutbacks and maintain speed. Kinda like the FCS CRV's but with much more drive and less skate. I actually have to ride with a heavier back foot than I usually do (remember I usually ride a little fishy-type board with the RedX XT1's+trailer fin). The only drawback so far is that the 3/2's seem to hang up on the initial drop-in a bit, like they take a little time to come up to speed. Kinda like a cop-car... the acceleration is not blistering, but the top end persuit speed is nutty. If it is really top-to-bottom this can be a bit rough, but once I set the fins in at the bottom I KNOW they are going to hold.

Another possibility is that my board has a bit more drawn-in tail then I usually ride (usually use a tad more hip with a narrow squash or round "thumbtail"). That might have something to do with the lack of initial acceleration. My friend Jason has been riding a Linden "W" model shortboard and the same 3/2 setup; his board has much more hip and a little more width and he does not seem to have the hang-up off the takeoff. Or it could be due to the fact that he is a very good surfer (I see similiarities between him and our very own Liquid; both are shop owners, both are very good surfers and successful competitors, and both rip on a wide array of boards from fishes to singlefins to thrusters to longboards). I'm going to borrow a few rides on his board next session to test that hypothesis.

I also have a set of Tom's next generation X2's (I think they have the 80/20 foil) and am ordering a new RedX board as we speak. Tom tells me they are very "free" feeling, which is something I really like. I'm as stoked for that experiment as these 460's.

Can you tell I love board design and fin theory?

Mines a ...lost SD2, and I have the exact same general impression, very fast down the line, and tons of drive ... compared to the same board done in poly. I got mine the same shape as my poly, and as a result it turns like its "too thick" in good surf. Its unreal in junk, but I'm going back to poly for now. I think I'm selling it to a friend who is heavier-footed.

I hate boards that lag on takeoff! Thats what drove me nuts about my K Step-up, those concaves took time to spin up the speed. Maybe I'll skip the vector experiment ...

Hey Gearbox, just a few questions.
1)what is the glass like on those two?..I usually like mine single 4oz. top and bottom.
2)How big are you?, i ride the same dimensions but I am about 5'8" 160 lbs. I can't see from the photos but those boards may have less volume even thought they are the same dims as I ride.
3) Why are you selling 'em?
4) Would you be willing to ship 'em if I payed everything up front (for both boards and all the finsets?)
Peace

1)Glass is stock 4oz on deck and bottom for both boards.
2)I'm 5'9, 137lbs. The 6'0 has a super thin tail and nose while the 5'11 has more overall volume than the boards I usually ride.
3)A. I've got my dims pretty much dialed right now, my last three boards have been 5'11, 18, 2 1/16. I've been steadily going down in overall volume the last year and a half and these dimensions have been working great for me.
B. I've got too many boards sitting around not getting use.
C. Europe for two weeks=broke for next two months
4)If you pay for the shipping I'd be down to send 'em to you. Let me know where you are. I only have glass and carbon fins and those ain't going with them. I have one extra set of composite JC2's that I'll give you if you get both boards.
