Home Depot just raised their prices for styro home insulation. Gonna be a couple bucks more, and they don't offer the 4" thick version anymores.
So ya gotta glue 2"er to either a 1 or a 3/4"er.
Hell getting the 1/2"er home <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
Styro is easier to cut thin quickly, but really hard to fine finish for glassing.
Use epoxy resin.

Home improvement, under bulding supplies, near the wood, near the plywood, next the the rolls of R-13 insulation.
Besides ResinResearch, which I don't know where to get, West Marine Supply Stores, they have branches all over USA, has WestSystems, good until you get RR.
Cloth, best at Tap Plastics.
Of course, look for Fiberglass Supplies first.

If you use Elmers, gotta let it sit one week.
If you use TackyGlue...the nonset, you can immediately proceed with shaping.
If you use epoxy resin, it causes a hard spot, but is more conventional.
Same with stringers if you should so decide...

Resin Research can be gotten directly from Greg Loehr, his email address is in his profile at Swaylocks, username GregLoehr.

It, and Fiberglass Hawaii, epoxy are much nicer than West Marine for lamming surfboards.
