SUCKS <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="images/icons/mad.gif" /> ...I lost my necklace today ..also lost my wedding ring in january, 2 dayz before my 9th aniversary...

all my life I alwayz hated to wear jewlery,only reason I wore that crap was cause my wife gave them to me..

the necklace wasnt expensive,but it was from the buddist temple that we go to and its supposed to keep you out of danger {no wonder I got some fresh reef scratches}and brings good luck.

waves were fun as sh!t..just me and my brother{I know,I know ,I said I wasnt gonna bring him anymore but he was being cool}

he didnt even burn me {AMAZING}

anybody here wear jewlrey out while their surfing???

I `m getting another ring but I aint gonna be wearing it when I go surf {thats what I said last time <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> }

maybe I`ll get one of those tahitian tatoo rings..then I know I wont lose it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

that is unless some fish dont bite it off <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

I have a necklace - tigers eye buddha from Singapore, which I never take off when I am surfing. Never take off... It's the only thing I wear.

only piece of jewelry i own is a puka shell necklace that a friend made for me. i never take it off.

surfwordz, just be honest with her. you lost the ring from surfing, but don't want to take it off because even when you're in the water, the ring symbolizes her soul, and therefore you want it with you at all times.

The dirty ol' river
lost my watch in Fiji this summer when I bounced off the reef...made the trip a lot more expensive.

I put a $100.00 bounty on it, but it never came up plus the local skin divers were a little sketched diving the reef in the impact zone

was the wedding ring loose on your finger? I al;ways worry about mine falling off but never think its that possible. I think all the knuckle cracking I've been doing has made my finger joint too fat for it to slip.

maybe I need to do some further research by surfing Honolua??

I go with telling her right away, and be genuinely sad (since you are) that you realize you'll no longer be able to wear the symbol of your love while in the water. Do it NOW, two days before Valentine's Day. Or a few days after, but not on the day.

But a ring is really just a symbol, not the love itself. That you carry around with you always, regardless of the outer wear.

sucks with the ring though. Maybe you can get some new ones?? Make it a really nice anniversary/valentines day gift. Say honey, well, I am renewing our vows and such, here is a token of my love and present her with a new ring and your new ring!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

As a chick who would be bummed to find out the husband lost his ring, tell her right away and try to get a new one as well as the Tahitian tattoo ring. You'd be covered in and outta the water...problem solved! **Bonus points: Suggest to the wifey that the two of you get MATCHING tattoo rings!
