I have surfed a bit throughout Mex, and was wondering if anyone has ever heard of a place called Rancho de las Olas? It's a bit south of Puerto Vallarta.

A friend and I are heading south for a few months and are looking for an out of the way place. The surf doesn't need to be world class (puerto or pascuales) but just a lot less crowded. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A few months in sunny Mexico during the winter sounds pretty sweet. I haven't heard of the Rancho place but I do know of a beach break about a hour south of Manzanillo that has good westerly exposure. You going to be driving around or are you trying to find a place to stay for the entire time?
