Flying outta San Diego to Cost Rica in June. Just curious which airline to use. TACA looked pretty good. But, I would appreciate any suggestions. Thx!

San Diego to Costa Rica Airline Suggestion

If you are going to be spending your time in the Tamarindo / Northern part of the country, look at Delta and fly into Nigeria. The downside of Delta is that you WILL have to go through Atlanta and from the west coast that blows. The upside is that Nigeria is about an hour from the northern coast where San Jose is about 6 - 8 hours.
I would stick with Taca. They do not charge nearly as much as the other airlines for board bags. We got jacked $100 per bag each way last summer. (American) Taca is half that. They are direct out of LA and there have been great deals. I found a $199 RT for the end of March. Can not wait.
