Pressure ding question

I have a pressure ding on my entry rocker. It is about 1cm deep and the size of oh, say, a human head. =op
What is the best way to fill up this huge hole?

You can probably just tape off around the edges, lightly sand it, fill it with some q cell and resin (as much Q as you can ... at least 4:1), sand it flush down to 600 and be done. Most pressure dings don't leak water anyway, so theres no need to glass over it. I did this on my Mayhem a half year ago and its still white as new (that ding was the shape of a forearm <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> )

If you really want it to be nice do the filler with lam resin, get it really close to perfect before it sets, then hotcoat before sanding. That'll make the filler bond a little better.

If there are any cracks around the edge then throw on a sheet of 4oz when you are done with the filler. Unfortunately this fix IS going to add some weight on the front of your board <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bawling.gif" alt="" />

Be careful not to sand through around the ding, the glass on the bottom is real thin. When in doubt, add some more masking tape!
